- Gardens by the Bay
Gardens by the Bay is TripAdvisor’s most popular attraction, and it’s not hard to see why. This place is amazing and unlike anything I’ve seen before. He has two amazing greenhouses, the legendary Supertree and the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. If you can only see one attraction in Singapore, make it this one. Tickets for both conservatories can be purchased at the gate, but discounts are available if purchased in advance through Klook or Get Your Guide.

- Singapore Zoo
I love animals, but I rarely go to zoos. They don’t put enough emphasis on animal welfare, with the exception of Singapore Zoo, which was voted by a TripAdvisor user as the 5th best zoo in the world. An impressive facility that sets standards for the protection of animals in captivity. See my Singapore Zoo post for more photos and information. Entry tickets can be purchased at the gate or purchased in advance from Klook or Get Your Guide.
Almost everything in Singapore is world class, including all the animal parks. Apart from Singapore Zoo, he has visited 3 other zoos and they were all excellent.
Estimated time required: at least half a day
Permit certificate: SGD 48 (Adult), SGD 33 (Child)
- Universal Studios and Sentosa Island
Universal Studios needs no introduction. This popular theme park on Sentosa Island has thrilling rides like Jurassic Park and Transformers. If you are traveling to Singapore with your child, perhaps he should plan a day here. Otherwise you won’t hear the end. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or purchased in advance via Klook.
As popular as Universal Studios is, Sentosa Island’s attractions don’t stop there. 4D Cinema, Trick Eye Museum, Action Park, S.Aquarium, Water Sports, Golf Courses and Beaches as Sentosa Island is dedicated to entertainment throughout the island. There are also many hotels and restaurants on the island.
Universal Studios takes a full day, so we recommend booking another day to explore the rest of the island. You can purchase a cable car ticket to Sentosa Island from Get Your Guide. See my post on Sentosa Island for photos and details.
Estimated time required: at least a day and a half
Admission to Universal Studios: SGD 82 (Adult), SGD 61 (Child)
- Marina Bay Sands Sky Park
Marina Bay Sands is Singapore’s most famous hotel. You’ve probably seen pictures of infinity pools on social media. It’s very nice, but unfortunately only hotel guests can enter. (Boo!)
If you haven’t checked into Marina Bay Sands, head to the SkyPark Observation Deck on the 57th floor for some of Singapore’s most breathtaking views.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate, but you may get a discount if you buy them in advance through Klook.
Estimated time required: 1-2 hours
Permit certificate: 26 swiss francs
- ArtScience Museum
Singapore has many interesting museums. Most notable are the National Museum of Singapore, National Gallery Singapore, Singapore Art Museum (SAM) and ArtScience Museum.
Known for its building hands and lotus-like shapes, I visited the ArtScience Museum on a recent trip. There are permanent exhibits, but some are temporary, like the minimalist exhibit below, so check the ArtScience Museum website before you go.
